Orsini SPI was established in 2002 to support the rapid growth in hotel infrastructure in Dubai. From an early stage our values of transparency and flexibility made Orsini SPI a reliable choice for hotel developers when looking for a specialist to manage the procurement of FF&E and OS&E. Our multi-disciplinary team has the strength of balancing the needs of all project stakeholders including the Architects, Interior Designers, Contractors, F&B Consultants, Hotel Operator, Project Managers, and Hotel Owners. Within the Orsini SPI team we have members with backgrounds in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Furniture Production, Hotel Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics. Every element of production is coordinated from conceptual sketches, shop drawings, material submittals, and fixing details when required. Installation Management
Managing the last mile delivery and implementation of any service is the most crucial to creating a successful project. We understand this and have always provided on-site supervision for installation of FF&E and receiving of OS&E. Through our presence on-site we are able to co-ordinate access and storage areas with the main contractor, ensure all sub-contractors adhere to site safety requirements, check all items delivered match the agreed specifications and quality, and obtain a signed handover with the Operator and Client’s Representative
Procurement Technologies
State of the art software and technologies allows us more time dedicated to interacting with project stakeholders. Orsini SPI’s proprietary online procurement software control’s expenditure against budget certifies vendor payments, and tracks all items from tender to receipt on site. Our standalone e-tender platform replaces the need for traditional paper tender submissions and our RFID asset tagging technology allows you to efficiently carry out a periodic inventory of your assets. We continuously evaluate new technology to increase efficiencies and transparency in the procurement process
Logistics Management
Each project has at least 5,000 different FF&E and OS&E items which needs to come together to make a project complete. Through our global sourcing network, we appoint manufacturers for each project and manage the complex logistics process of shipment consolidation, pre-shipment inspection and facilitating documentation required for customs clearance. Regardless of the country of origin and the final destination of each project we work closely with our Logistics Partners, Suppliers and Clients to arrange delivery of FF&E and OS&E just in time and minimize the need for external warehousing

Keeping our Earth at the center of our focus, Orsini SPI has taken on the challenge to support hotel developments and reduce the impact FF&E and OS&E has on this planet. We are the first company to implement a green rating system for FF&E and OS&E and evaluate the material supply chain from raw material to end of life cycle sustainability. Orsini SPI is founded by Manesh Balani and started off with 2 employees

Orsini SPI enter into a Partnership with Chris Garrod, to complete the Shangri La Dubai Projects

2005
The dedicated Installation and Receiving Supervision service is introduced starting with the Al Manzil & Qamardeen Hotels in Downtown Dubai
2007
Weekly project reporting is introduced for all projects, giving clients a clear project status update, every week without fail

2009

Orsini SPI trades under Chris Garrod Partnership (CGP)

2011

Orsini SPI as CGP secured it first project with Omran in Oman, for Crowne Plaza Duqm. Orsini SPI takes on its first Refurbishment project with Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Orsini SPI, enters into it’s first Supply and Delivery Turnkey Contract with the Radisson BLU Lusaka

2012
Orsini SPI marks it entry into Europe through the Buddha Bar Hotel Project in Paris, France
2013
Orsini SPI reverts back to its original name and continues to provide FF&E and OS&E procurement services to the Hospitality industry, after Chris Garrod relinquished all partnership agreements around the world. Orsini SPI started working on its first Convention Centre Project, the Kigali Convention Centre, measuring 32.200 sqm, including a 2,600 capacity Conference Centre at USD 300 Million material purchase cost
2015
SPIsys, Orsini SPI’s proprietary web based procurement platform is launched, and Asset Management Tracking is added to Orsini SPI’s service offering, and first implemented successfully at the TAJ Dubai, Business Bay Orsini SPI started work on its 2nd Convention & Exhibition Centre, the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, with 22,000sqm Exhibition Space including a 3,200 capacity Conference Centre
2016
Orsini SPI is awarded the procurement of OS&E for the Bulgari Dubai Orsini SPI is awarded Turnkey Fit Out & FF&E Supply contract for Aloft Al Ain and our E-tender portal was introduced. Orsini SPI adds new disciplines to its team, with Logistics and Interior Design, being added to the already existing Furniture Manufacturing, Civil Engineering, Hospitality Operations and Management, Accounting, IT and Trading skills Orsini SPI starts the 1st phase of the Refurbishment of the Park Inn Yas Island, 2nd phase was planned and completed in 2017, both phases were completed 2 weeks ahead of schedule
2017
Orsini SPI are awarded multiple Luxury Hotel Projects in Dubai, Bluewaters Caesar’s Palace and Resort, Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah, and Hyatt Andaz the Palm
2018
Red Flag report is introduced as part of the Weekly reporting package, to monitor time critical issues with impact on overall project delivery, and proposed solutions to resolve these issues, as they relate to the various project stakeholders. Vendor Engagement program is introduced, to improve project service delivery through interactive feedback sessions with project suppliers during and upon conclusion of projects
2019
The W Muscat opens it doors, with FF&E and OS&E supplied through Orsini SPI Operator enlightenment is introduced
